Darrel has been serving clients in the financial services and insurance industry since 2003 and earned a Finance degree from Washington State University. As the Founder, CEO, and CFO of VanClark Insurance Agency, he has built his career around helping individuals, families, and business owners make informed financial decisions and protect the assets they have worked hard to acquire.

What he enjoys most about insurance is the opportunity to solve problems and help clients navigate important life events. Whether protecting a growing family, helping a homeowner recover after a loss, or assisting a small business owner with managing risk, he takes pride in providing guidance and building long-term relationships based on trust.

He has a strong belief that ethics, integrity, and transparency should be at the center of every client relationship. Doing the right thing, even when it is not the easiest path, has been a guiding principle throughout his career and is a core value of the agency.

He is also a strong believer in supporting local communities and small businesses. As a locally owned independent agency, they understand the important role entrepreneurs and small businesses play in creating jobs, strengthening communities, and supporting local families. Being involved in and giving back to the communities they serve is one of the most rewarding aspects of what they do.

Outside the Office: He has always had a passion for finance, economics, and business. He enjoys following financial markets, economic trends, and business news, and he is fascinated by how economic changes impact households, businesses, and communities. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, following sports, and continuing to learn about business and personal finance.
